Industrial Automation Architect

In the position of Industrial Automation Architect you are responsible for developing, maintaining and rolling out the software standard that is based on ISA88 and PackML. The Controls Engineering department is in a transition because intelligent software plays an increasingly important role in the development of the machines. As an architect you have the opportunity to think along and form a vision about the future that we need to go to with our controls. You should think of simulation, software generation and automated testing.

As an Industrial Automation Architect you are a central point in the software engineering process and you come into contact with different disciplines. This function also has an international character in which cooperation with other branches is important to achieve global standards. The systems run on a PLC or IPC platform

The professional knowledge required for this is developed and maintained within the company, so that there are good growth opportunities. This mainly takes the form of self-study, seminars and focused courses.

You have an BSc/ Msc in the direction of Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Industrial Automation or comparable level gained through experience.
You have gained 3 to 5 years of work experience in such a role. You also have knowledge of the PLC languages (such as STL) and affinity with C ++.
Affinity with industrial automation and mechanics in the food processing industry is an important pre.
In addition, you are up to date on the new technologies to take the software standard to a higher level.
You are also willing to travel 10 - 20%.
